  10:00AM 12:00PM Rocket City Inventors Club   The July meeting of the newly energized Rocket City Inventor’s Club will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Global Special Effects facility located in Lexington, Alabama at 11054 County Road 71.The Rocket City Inventors Club is open to anyone who has an invention or an idea for an invention and is looking for like-minded individuals to swap ideas and find solutions to common problems. The Club is dedicated to inventor education and support. Members can network with others who may be steps ahead in the patenting process to find partners or service providers. Attendance is free.   6:00PM 10:00PM 30th Annual Fourth of July Celebration   Goose Pond Colony, a municipally owned resort and golf facility, is pleased to host the 30th Annual Fourth of July Celebration taking place on the banks of the Tennessee River. The tradition continues with a full evening of musical entertainment, family fun and North Alabama’s largest free firework display.\r\nMusical entertainment will begin at 6 p.m. with The Cheezee Band immediately followed by Rollin’ in the Hay. The national anthem will be performed at 9 p.m. by Daniel Smith to kick off the firework show sponsored by the City of Scottsboro, WKEA 98.3 FM and Goose Pond Colony. Admission to the event is free, and food and drinks will be available for purchase from a variety of vendors at the event. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to the celebration. During the fireworks display, spectators can tune to K-98 (98.3 FM) for music synchronized to the fireworks.\r\n
