Highlights:
Good Hope's first game with new coach Mitch Morris was exciting in the Raiders coming from behind late to outperform Montevallo.
Screws came up with a baseline three in the closing seconds to move the Raiders out to a 61 to 57 lead in which they held on.
McSwain a shooting guard, tallied 8 FGs, 3 treys and 3 of 4 FTs to lead the Raiders in their opener from Lane Horton Gymnasium.
Cold Springs got 13 points in the opening half from Black, their PG.
The 2nd half surge for Drew Adams' Eagles was 8 by Linden Hill who would deliver 5 of 7 from the line and 6 FGs inside the paint.
Vinemont was close after the first period with undefeated Corner before the Yellow Jackets controlled the final half in a 38 to 19 spree to drop them into the consolation bracket.
Hanceville was almost even with Hartselle in the first, down 13 to 12,.
Hartselle would neutralize the Hanceville attack in the final 24:00 by letting the Bulldogs score on 15 points.
Hartselle's 23 to 5 run in the 3rd blew the game open with the Tigers going into the 4th ahead 50 to 21.
