Patterson gets contract extension to lead Bearcats' baseball:

GDW Analysis:
In the June meeting of the Cullman City Board of Education, the board approved extending the contract of baseball coach Brent Patterson.
The contract becomes effective in July and will continue through June of 2025.
Patterson has been the skipper of the Bearcats since 2009. Cullman has won AHSAA championships in 2015 and 2019, seven appearances in the Final Four in 6A baseball.
From 2014 to 2019, the best segment in Bearcat baseball with Patterson as they recorded 233 victories in 301 decisions.
The last time they came home with the blue trophy from Montgomery was in 2019 when Patterson's club was 30 & 13.
In other information from the board meeting, the board approved the transfer of Cullman High assistant principal Mark Stephens to Student Affairs Coordinator at the Central Office, effective July 8.
A supplemental resignation was reported by the board involving archery coach Branch Whitlock.
