 BIRMINGHAM: Gameday Weekly has been keeping up with how winners from the AHSAA Northwest Regional have fared in the semifinal round of the Final Four from the BJCC.
A record of 9 & 5 with the girls having six wins out of seven. The varsity managed three wins in 7 games, having a few close losses.
So for championship play in 2025, the NW Regional will have 9 schools going for the blue trophy this weekend.
The championship game schedule:
1A (G): Brilliant 22 & 9 vs. Spring Garden 4:00 Thursday.

 2A (G): Decatur Heritage 28 & 7 vs. Pisgah 9:00 Friday
3A (G): Lauderdale Co 33 & 1 vs. St. James 12:30 Friday

 3A: Mars Hill Bible 20 & 5 vs. Montgomery Academy Friday 2:15.
4A (G): Good Hope 27 & 5 vs. Trinity Presbyterian 4:00 Friday, live on 92.1 FM

 5A (G): Scottsboro 24 & 4 vs. Ramsay 9:00 Saturday
6A: Pinson Valley 15 & 5 vs. Paul Bryant 2:15 Saturday

 7A (G): Hillcrest Tuscaloosa 30 & 2 vs. Hoover 4:00 Saturday
7A: Florence 26 & 8 vs. TBA 5:45 Saturday
Looking to repeat as a state champion in representing the NW Regional, Good Hope (G), Mars Hill.

 Seeking a first ever title, Brilliant (G), Decatur Heritage (G), Scottsboro (G), Hillcrest Tuscaloosa (G), Florence.
Pinson Valley last won a state title in 2019, Lauderdale Co (G) in 2015.

 Good Hope Lady Raiders are in consecutive state championships, accomplishing this feat for the county since Cold Springs played in back to back 2A championships in 2019 & 2020.
Cullman County school system has had a girls squad in the AHSAA championship 5 of the last 7 years.
