Good Hope, Vinemont trying to clinch area regular season titles:

GDW Analysis:
In a week, the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) will receive brackets for the upcoming state softball playoffs.
Area play will set the tone followed by regional and the Elite 8 in each classification.
Currently, two schools locally are in first place in their respective area.
They are trying to stay there, knowing the intensity is on the rise for them to accomplish this task.
The area playoffs are set for the weekend of April 25, according to the AHSAA.
Good Hope Lady Raiders:
GH is 3 & 0 in 4A, Area 13 after 10 to 0 shutout Saturday of East Lawrence.
Lady Raiders play at West Morgan Monday, at Danville Tuesday and host Danville on Thursday.
Lady Raiders have 15 wins, 7 losses and a tie, the best record locally.

 Vinemont Lady Eagles:
Vinemont is currently 5 & 0 in 3A, Area 12.
 Lady Eagles are to play at Locust Fork Tuesday and at JB Pennington Thursday.
A game vs. Hanceville was postponed April 10 due to inclement weather and has not been rescheduled yet.
Locust Fork is 5 & 1 in area play. Locust Fork is at home Monday vs. Hanceville and faces Vinemont at home Tuesday.
Locust Fork and Holly Pond must make up a game postponed April 10 from inclement weather.
Fairview Lady Aggies:
Fairview is 2 & 2 in 5A, Area 14.
The Lady Aggies game vs. Arab on April 9 has not been reported.
Fairview at Scottsboro got postponed April 10.
Scottsboro is the leader in Area 14 with a 3 & 0 record.
The Fairview-Scottsboro game has to be played with Scottsboro also having a game at home Tuesday vs. Arab and on the 22nd against Guntersville.
Cullman Lady Bearcats:
Cullman is 1 & 2 in 6A, Area 13.
Jasper is the regular season winner by sweeping Cullman and Mortimer Jordan.
Cullman and Mortimer Jordan end the area regular season with a game Tuesday at Mortimer Jordan.
West Point Lady Warriors:
West Point is 1 & 2 in 5A, Area 14.
West Point visits Lawrence County in an area game Tuesday. Lawrence County is 3 & 0 in the area.
Cold Springs Lady Eagles:
Cold Springs is 1 & 1 in 2A, Area 11.
Cold Springs plays at Winston County Tuesday and at Sumiton Christian Thursday.
Sumiton leads the area with a 3 & 0 record.
