Vestavia & Chelsea the latest out to get new girls hoop coaches:

GDW Analysis:
Two girls basketball programs well known to Gameday Weekly are in the process of filling head coaching vacancies.
Vestavia High School and Chelsea have posted the vacances in the classified section on the AHSAA website.
Vestavia is replacing John David Smelser who has stepped down for an undisclosed reason.
Smelser guided the Lady Rebels to 24 wins, 4 losses and a berth in the Final Four of the 7A Northeast Regional. Vestavia ended its season with a 43 to 40 loss to upstart Albertville at Jacksonville State.
Chelsea Lady Hornets got to the 6A state championship game at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, being seen by GDW in their semifinals against Mountain Brook.
Chelsea was 20 & 7 in having a good season with Jason Harlow handling the unit. No reason has been reported of why the position has become vacant.
These two join the following programs nearby that are still looking to a get a new head coach.
Hanceville Lady Bulldogs.
Brewer Lady Patriots.

 Changes have been made already for next season with new head coaches at Cullman, Cold Springs, Ardmore.

 Alabama Christian in Montgomery is also in the procedure for getting a new leader girls' hoops.
Eufaula is seeking a new mentor while at East Limestone, the Lady Indians are in search of an assistant to work with head coach Jessica Thompson.
