Encore Girls Classic at Hartselle
Playing Monday morning was inspiring for the Vinemont Lady Eagles to have their best outing six games into the new season.
Hitting threes from various spots on the floor paid dividends for the Lady Eagles to finish with 15 made long distance FGs and 77 points in outscoring Susan Moore's Lady Bulldogs.
Four treys were delivered in the 1st with two by Caroline Miller and a pair from Arleigh Thomason,
A 24 to 12 Vinemont lead moved to 34 to 17 in the 2nd and was 49 to 39 by halftime.
Miller erupted for 23 halftime points, nailing seven treys and having a 17 point 2nd stanza with 5 treys ad a FG.
Susan Moore showed a sharpshooter too in wing guard Mallorie Hammond, The junior delivered 22 through three quarters of play with the Lady Bulldogs coming back and getting the deficit narrowed to 66 to 61 late.
Then an 11 to 0 run from Vinemont completed the victory with Emily Willoughby's Lady Eagles 4 & 2 and on a 3 game winning streak.
Miller tallied 26 for the Lady Eagles with 7 treys, Thomason had 14, scoring 4 long range FGs, Vayda Yarbrough netted 13 in the 2nd half, three from long range, Reagan Robinson scored 13 and Addison Holcomb accounted for 7.
Holland scorched the net with 28 points, 6 FGs from 3 point land.

Hewitt Trussville defeated Hartselle
East Limestone is 3 & 1 after the Lady Indians crushed Oneonta in the early afternoon.
A good battle seen by Gameday Weekly was between Mars Hill and Arab.
Leading 27 to 23 at the half, Mars Hill went on an 18 to 10 run in the 3rd to build a 45 to 33 lead.
The matchup featured the talented Belle Hill for Mars Hill battling Arab forward Lauren Lambert.
Both wear uniform number # 4 and stood out in going to war against one another.
