Vinemont VB performs well in county quad match:

Lady Eagles soar to No. 1 seed in next week's county tourney:

GDW Analysis:
VINEMONT: Given a chance to show how good they really have been this volleyball season, the Vinemont Lady Eagles did that Tuesday in a quad match they hosted.
Gameday Weekly was able to see very good volleyball on two courts of Vinemont Gymnasium. This quad match took place the day before the pairings are set for this year's Cullman County tournament.
Vinemont would earn a 3 & 0 assignment in the quad match.
The Lady Eagles started with a sweep of Fairview in close games, 25 to 21 and 25 to 16.
Vinemont then encountered Good Hope for the first time this season, This would go to a tiebreaker. Good Hope rolled in the opening set 25 to 10. Vinemont then earned a 25 to 13 win in the 2nd set and claimed a 15 to 13 victory in the tiebreaker.
Up next was a very hot West Point team. The Lady Eagles pulled out victory in tight ones, 26 to 24 and 27 to 25.
Bobby Daniels' Lady Eagles have won 13 consecutive matches and head to the county tournament pairings 36 & 5 for the season, 6 & 0 against the county.
West Point's day turned out to be two out of three. The Lady Warriors edged Good Hope 2 to 1 then swept Fairview for they faced Vinemont.
Meagan Cagle's Lady Warriors had won five consecutive matches prior to playing Vinemont. The Lady Warriors have a 5 & 1 record vs. the county and 14 victories overall.
Not a lot of victories have been shown by Fairview this season. But the Lady Aggies gained four wins in two quad match assignments from September 17 and September 24.
Fairview defeated Good Hope 27 to 25 and 26 to 24 Tuesday that gets them 3rd in the county pairings.
Defending county winner Good Hope, the last three years, is in a slight slump for going 0 & 3 in the quad match and dropping to 18 & 15 for the season.
In order to win its 4th county tournament in a row, Natasha Holder's Lady Raiders will play in the tournament as the 4th seed.

The 5th seed is Holly Pond with Hanceville to be 6th and Cold Springs 7th.

The county tournament is next week from Felton Easterwood Gymnasium at Holly Pond High School.

Triple threat performers selected by GDW from quad match:
Vinemont: Carly Stephens, Morgan Flanagan, Addison Holcomb.
West Point: Laklin Shadix, Adrianna Owens, Macie Brown
Fairview: Kensli Redding, Kailyn Redding, Karlie English
Good Hope: Carly Adams, Jolee McHan, Campbell Koch.

Stephens was selected as the top performer by Gameday Weekly in the three matches, especially when she was on the front line and a chance to hammer away at the opposition.
Others that made contribution to a great day for Vinemont was Aubrey Sandlin, Arleigh Thomason and Abby Kuykendall.
It's been a long time that Vinemont volleyball has been in a position like this going into the county tournament.
The quad match covered by GDW Tuesday, illustrated parity as a total of five sets were decided by a margin of two points and two matches be taken into a decisive tiebreaking set.
