A concern if area softball playoffs to start on schedule:

Spring time weather always challenges the plans for spring time sports to stay on schedule, especially when it gets to postseason play.
AHSAA softball is seeing that with the rest of the week presenting possible thunderstorms for the next four days.
The softball playoffs start on Friday with area tournament play.
The AHSAA has set the dates of April 25 through the 29th to get area playoffs in before teams enter the next phase, regional play the first week of May.
Gameday Weekly has the schedule for each team in the opening round of their area.
Area games will be a double elimination format.
Cold Springs, Cullman, West Point are in a 3 team area.
Good Hope & Fairview compete in 4 team area.
Hanceville, Holly Pond and Vinemont share time together in a 5 team area.

 Good Hope:
Lady Raiders 1st in 4A, Area 13
Good Hope will host the area tournament with 1st round play scheduled for Saturday vs. East Lawrence TBA.
Good Hope 21/11/1 on the season.
Cold Springs:

 Lady Eagles 3rd in 2A, Area 11
Cold Springs to play area tournament at Sumiton Christian.
Cold Springs 10/17/2 on season
Cullman:
Lady Bearcats tied 2nd in 6A, Area 13
Cullman vs. Mortimer Jordan at Jasper Friday.
Cullman 5 & 15 on the season.
Fairview:
Lady Aggies 3rd in 5A, Area 15
Fairview vs. Arab at Scottsboro Saturday.
Fairview 16 & 11 on the season.
Hanceville:
Lady Bulldogs 3rd in 3A, Area 12
Hanceville vs. Vinemont at Locust Fork TBA
Hanceville 13/15/1 on the season.
Holly Pond:
Lady Broncos 4th in 3A, Area 12
Holly Pond vs. JB Pennington at Locust Fork TBA
Holly Pond 2 & 18 on the season.
Vinemont:
Lady Eagles 2nd in 3A, Area 12
Vinemont vs. Hanceville at Locust Fork TBA
Vinemont 9 & 7 on the season.
West Point:
Lady Warriors 3rd in 5A, Area 14:
West Point vs. Russellville at Lawrence Co TBA
West Point 12 & 20 on the season.
