A new school record for wins by Vinemont Lady Eagles:

Vinemont to play for 3A, Area 11 title at home on Monday:

GDW Analysis:
VINEMONT: A case of first half jitters departed the Vinemont Lady Eagles after halftime Friday in their AHSAA 3A, Area 11 semifinal with JB Pennington.
Pennington, looking to upset the top seed in the area, was down 29 to 18 at the half, but optimistic of finishing strong for the final 16:00.
It became a Vinemont romp of 63 to 24 when the Lady Tigers crushed the Lady Tigers by a 22 to 2 streak during the 3rd period.
With a variety of weapons as their arsenal, Emily Willoughby's Lady Eagles were carried by shooting guard Caroline Miller.
With Miller finding a comfort zone scoring 4 FGs in the 3rd, the Lady Eagles carried a comfortable 51 to 20 advantage into the 4th.
Miller got a three as time ran out and the final period for the Lady Eagles was with a running clock.

Miller collected 22 as Vinemont set a school record with its 22nd victory of the season, breaking the mark of 21 set by the squad from 20 years ago.
Morgan Flanagan hit 11, Reagan Robinson got 8, Brooklyn Yarbrough 6, Arleigh Thomason 5, Hailey Watwood 3, Addison Holcomb 2, Vayda Yarbrough 1.
Pennington's season is done at 16 wins & 8 losses. Freshman center McKenzie Sansing tossed in 14, shooting guard Kylee Weems had 5.
The Lady Eagles will meet the Holly Pond Lady Broncos in the championship Monday 6:00 p.m. The winner will host a sub regional playoff game next Friday.
