The Bulldogs have regained their winning swagger with Hastings who came from county rival Lynn where he was 34 & 14 in 4 seasons, taking the Bears deep into the playoffs for a couple of seasons.
Addison has won 7 in a row after the Bulldogs were defeated by the Good Hope Raiders on September 26.
No one in Region 7 could hang with the Bulldogs. Addison rolled over 7 regional opponents, scoring better than 40 points in each game.
Marion County challenged the Bulldogs in the quarterfinal with a 16 to 8 lead at the half.
Addison rebounded in scoring 20 consecutive points and held on for a 28 to 22 victory.
This is the deepest run in the postseason for Addison since 2018 when the Bulldogs reached the semifinals and finished 10 & 3 for David Smothers.
The Bulldogs' win against Wadley was 20 years ago on the road in the semifinal round.
Wadley has won 25 consecutive games with this group of Bulldogs showing they can score on a regular basis.
In the 2nd round, Wadley visited Addison's nearby rival Meek, routing the Tigers 52 to 8.
A team with sound athletes have scored 52, 52 and 62 in the postseason. Their lowest total in a victory was 35 vs. Glenwood School September 25.
The winner of Addison/Wadley advances to the AHSAA championship game December 4 in Birmingham to play the winner of the Leroy/Maplesville game.
