 Preview:
Fairview is the defending 5A, Region 7 champion as the Aggies went through the setup in 2024 without a loss in six games.
The Aggies are currently the 2nd best offense in county football, averaging 44 points a game.
Fairview has scored 75 of its 88 points through the first half. Aggies put 42 on the board by halftime at Fultondale and 33 at the end of the half last week with Springville.
Jake Harper is back and running like normal. The top runner from last season has tabulated 389 yards in two games, getting 191 at Fultondale and 198 vs. Springville. Harper has been in the end zone six times.

QB Kolt Redding shows his leadership play in his 3rd season as a starter for his father, George Redding.
The Aggies run the ball often with Harper getting about 20 attempts or better each time out.
Fairview's defense has a shutout and kept Springville scoreless in the 2nd quarter to break a 14 to 14 tie, leading 33 to 14 at the half.
West Point was able to move the ball downfield against Good Hope last week. But the Warriors had two drives to end in loss of downs with the 2nd coming at the Good Hope 4 as time expired in the half. That kept the Warriors from getting the game tied with the Raiders.
West Point netted 98 yards rushing and 153 passing with one play going 72 yards for a TD from Ayden Ennis to Cooper Howard in the 2nd.
Leading the Warriors via the ground is senior Ollie Howell.
Howell totaled 87 yards on 18 carries with a 37 yard run his longest of the night.
The 2nd half was not good for the Warriors with Good Hope scoring a 3rd quarter TD and putting three on the board in the final period including a pick six to wrap up the decision.
Ennis was 7 of 16 passing, two interceptions and a pick six.
West Point will have to finish drives against Fairview if the Warriors want to upset the current No. 4 team in the latest 5A state poll.
Redding is 3 wins behind Mark Smothers in all time victories for county football.
Redding has 129.

The Aggies have won five straight against the Warriors. West Point's last victory over the Aggies was 14 to 8 in 2019 at Dafford Smith Stadium.
This rivalry has been a case of winning streaks for both. West Point claimed 7 in a row from 2011 to 2018. Fairview now has been the victory from 2019 to the current year.
West Point vs. Fairview is the oldest rivalry for West Point at 53 games. This is the 2nd oldest for Fairview as the Aggies and Holly Pond have played 61 games.
These two are in 5A, Region 7 with Ardmore, East Limestone, Priceville, Lawrence County and Russellville.
