GDW Analysis:
Good Hope enjoyed Tom Drake Coliseum Friday afternoon in burying a season best 20 FGs from 3 point land to outscore Marion County.
The Lady Raiders were back inside Cullman County after winning a holiday event earlier in the week down in Destin, Florida.
The No. 2 team currently in 4A hoops did this without starting wing player Ella Davis.
Davis sustained an undisclosed leg injury on December 22 against West Point and is getting medical evaluation.
Coach Justin Aby's Lady Raiders accounted for 33 of their 39 points by halftime on making 11 long range attempts with 6 on display in the 2nd in a 22 to 14 tally.
Marshall had three in this span with two by Konrad and one from Adams.
Konrad was warming up.
The freshman would be very productive in the final half with 8 FGs, 4 treys and would get her season high of 34 points.
Marshall and Gossett shared 15 point performances. Marshall, the MVP from the recent classic in the Sunshine State, had 4 treys in the 1st half.
Gossett would score 10 of her 15 in the 2nd half, getting a pair from long range in the 4th quarter.
Marion County is a solid 1A program for the Lady Red Raiders reached the Northwest Regional final last year, losing on a 3 at the buzzer by Brilliant.
Coach Scott Veal is led by Williams, a freshman at the PG slot and Robinson, a talented senior on the frontline.
The 80 point outing by Good Hope is the 2nd highest tally for the Lady Raiders in the current season.
Good Hope put 90 on the scoreboard November 25 against Moody in a Thanksgiving Classic at Albertville High School.
The Lady Raiders erupted for 78 vs. Danville in their 41, Area 11 opener on December 12 that was carried live on WKUL FM (92.1). The Lady Raiders have scored better than 70 points in 6 victories on the current schedule.
