Breaking news; Paige Adams resigns as coach & teacher at Cold Springs:

CCBOE accepts the resignation 2 weeks after CS finished 2nd in 2A:

Breaking news:
COLD SPRINGS: After leading the Cold Springs Lady Eagles to the AHSAA 2A runner up berth on March 6, Paige Adams has submitted her resignation as coach and teacher at the school.
This was approved Wednesday in a special meeting by the Cullman County Board of Education (CCBOE).
Adams just finished her first season with CS basketball in taking them to the 2A state championship with an incredible run in the playoffs that included an area championship, sub regional victory, championship from the Northwest Regional and to the title game in which they lost to North Sand Mountain March 6 at Legacy Arena in Birmingham.

Adams led the Lady Eagles to a 23 & 10 record, going 5 & 1 in the 2A postseason schedule.
She took over Cold Springs Lady Eagles basketball after the 2025 season when Tammy West stepped down and became head coach at Cullman High School.
Over the weekend, Adams was named co coach of the year by Gameday Weekly on its all performance basketball team, sharing this honor with Justin Aby from Good Hope, the 2026 Class 4A state champion.

Before her resignation, Adams learned her senior Ella Dickerson is a finalist for Class 2A player of the year. That will be announced during a banquet in Montgomery in mid April.
Adams was also in charge of Cold Springs' softball and a teacher in the system. She is no longer under contract with the school.
The CCBOE is taking an in depth look into this situation with nothing further to provide through commentary.
