Willingham heads to his alma mater after one season with CS:

COLD SPRINGS: Gameday Weekly has learned through the Alabama Association of Basketball Coaches (AABC), Cade Willingham of Cold Springs has stepped down and is returning to his alma mater, Plainview High School.
Willingham came to Cold Springs for the 2023/24 season after serving on the staff at Tuscaloosa County High School.
Willingham played at Plainview and was on the Bears' 2018 AHSAA 3A championship squad.
Willingham would attend the University of Alabama where he got a degree and was on the Crimson Tide's coaching staff.
Willingham replaces Cale Black who coached Plainview to 26 wins and 8 wins last season. The Bears were upset in the 3A area playoffs by Geraldine.

 Cold Springs will now begin the process of replacing Willingham.
Cold Springs will be in a new area for the next two years, following reclassification back in the spring.
The Eagles will compete in 2A, Area 11 with Falkville and Cold Springs.
Cold Springs will be in its 2nd year in its new facility that was built below Jesse George Gymnasium.
