GDW Analysis:
Cold Springs 15 6 14 19 - 54 (3 & 0)
Holly Pond 16 7 7 16 - 46 (2 & 2)
Senior Ella Dickerson knows when to step up her performance in critical situations.
Cold Springs' all state performer and leading scorer did that Tuesday evening with 16 of her 24 points coming in the final half to help the Lady Eagles stay undefeated after three games with new coach Paige Adams.
Dickerson ripped the cords for 4 FGs in the final period and 2 FTs as Cold Springs fought off a 23 to 21 deficit at the half, going ahead 35 to 30 at the end of the 3rd and leaving Dwayne Adams Court/Felton Easterwood Gymnasium with a hard fought triumph.
The game began well with both teams in a scoring trend. Holly Pond led 16 to 15 before both struggled to collect points in the 2nd with the Lady Broncos grasping to a two point halftime cushion.
Dickerson would scored 3 FGs in the 3rd in the 14 to 7 surge. A FT and a 3 by Aleah Addison was a boost as well.
With Dickerson having 24 on the night, Addison scored 10, Kyleigh Graves netted 6 with 3 coming from Hollyn Bruer and Macie Huffstutler and 2 by Paizley Whitlow.
Holly Pond fell to 2 & 2 and dropped to 0 & 2 in the county standings. Madison Butts delivered 17, Maggie Nail and Ava Thomas contributed 10, Sadie Nail scored 5.
