Cullman softball is schedule to open AHSAA 6A Area 13 play Tuesday at home vs. Jasper.
That is weather pending after plenty of rainfall took place Monday afternoon and evening near campus.
One opportunity to possibly be playing on March 10 is the softball field is made out of field turf. The new surface is in its 2nd year of existence.
The 2026 season has been good for Cullman with new coach Drew Bryson.
The Lady 'Cats have 12 wins against 2 losses.
Their last time on the diamond was delightful in which they were able to keep Brewer from getting a come from behind victory and take the contest in 9 innings, 7 to 6.
Dracen Bates singled in Hattie Graham with the game winner. Bates got the victory in two innings of relief work and was 4 for 4 with 2 runs batted in.
Jasper is getting the season started. The Lady Vikings are 0 & 2 according to reports.
Rain ruins the Monday schedule:
Steady rain caused the local schedule for Monday to be postponed.
Games that were planned but couldn't go on were West Point at Brewer, Hanceville at Fairview, Good Hope at West Morgan, Locust Fork at Holly Pond.
