Will local baseball be played Monday or get rained out?:

Several games are scheduled for March 9 locally:

Local baseball teams are hoping for cooperation with the weather in order to take to the diamond Monday afternoon and evening.
The chance of that happening for March 9 is not promising.
This is the schedule of games for Monday Gameday Weekly has been able to find out.

 Fairview at Cold Springs 4:30
Hanceville at Holly Pond 4:30
Vinemont at Locust Fork 4:30
Fairview is 7 & 4 with the best start in the number of games the Aggies have played less than a month into the 2026 schedule.
Fairview is 2 & 0 in county games with wins over Vinemont and West Point. The West Point victory was last Thursday at Mark Moore Field by the final of 4 to 3.
According to reports, Cold Springs is 2 & 1 in the quest of moving the season further along.
Holly Pond vs. Hanceville and Vinemont vs. Locust Fork is the start of area play. These schools challenge one another for supremacy in 3A, Area 12 play.
Tuesday:
Cold Springs at Meek 4:30
Holly Pond at Hanceville 4:30/6:30

 Locust Fork at Vinemont 4:30/6:30
West Point at Arab 6:30

 Cullman at Homewood 6:30

 Fairview at Good Hope 6:30

 The matchups from 3A Area 12 change sites for Tuesday as Hanceville and Vinemont will have a doubleheader with Holly Pond and Locust Fork.
Area games are in the process of one on one day and two the next day to determine the outcome once the area schedules are completed in the upcoming weeks.
Cullman has a trip into Homewood that enters the week undefeated at 8 & 0.

 Fairview and Good Hope will be a hotly contested county clash as Good Hope has a win and loss in early season county games.
