Vinemont at JB Pennington Friday:

The 3A, Area 13 opener for Vinemont hoops with both in Blountsville.
Vinemont Lady Eagles won the area regular season title last year. Emily Willoughby has her team at 6 & 3 with Pennington to bring a 4 & 2 record to this battle.
The Eagles are out to bounce back from a Tuesday road loss to West Point. Vinemont has done well with new coach James Brown in 6 wins out of 9 tries.
Pennington is 0 & 6 and 0 & 1 in the area standings losing to Holly Pond at home recently.
Holly Pond at Good Hope Friday:
Lady Broncos vs. Lady Raiders 6:00 p.m.
Broncos vs. Raiders 7:30 p.m.

Home court has served well for Cold Springs Eagles this week as Drew Adams has his crew 7 & 1 after they took down Fairview Monday night and beat Dora Tuesday.
West Point looks to the matchup for the Warriors shot well in defeating Vinemont Tuesday 64 to 45 to end a game losing streak. Warriors are 4 & 3 for Mason Voce.
The Lady Eagles are going through issues of staying healthy and getting consistent from both sides of the floor.
Cold Springs recovered from a Monday home loss to Fairview in knocking off Dora on the new home floor Tuesday 52 to 32, Paige Adams' team is 4 & 5.
John Welborn's Lady Warriors have won 8 straight after opening the season with a loss to Ider in a game played at Snead State CC November 8.
West Point got 24 points by Camryn Faulkner and 20 from Laklin Shadix to stop Vinemont's winning ways Tuesday 64 to 45.
West Point is 3 & 0 in the county, Cold Springs has a 2 & 1 record vs. county schools.
Scottsboro at Fairview Friday:
Lady Wildcats vs. Lady Aggies 6:15 p.m,

The 5A, Area 14 opener for Fairview hoops brings the defending 5A state champion Scottsboro Lady Wildcats to Joe Shults Gymnasium.
Scottsboro is No. 1 in the current 5A state poll.
Fairview has a pair of county wins on the road this week over Cold Springs 54 to 48 and Hanceville 58 to 46.
Chris Nichols' Lady Aggies are 4 & 4.
Fairview is at 3 & 5 for coach Ganus in his 2nd year with the Aggies. Fairview defeated Hanceville Tuesday after the Aggies lost Monday at Cold Springs.
Scottsboro is getting the season started following the football team getting knocked out of the 5A semifinals by Moody.
Scottsboro is 0 & 1 with a loss in its opener Tuesday to Fort Payne.
Fairview will make up a game vs. Good Hope Saturday at Joe Shults Gymnasium at 10:15 a.m.
