Former Notre Dame hoops coach at CBC, promoting a new league:
GDW visits with Notre Dame's winningest hoops coach Sunday:

GDW Analysis:
Cullman Basketball Complex has added a new program that drew a lot of attention Sunday afternoon.
360 Hoops has invaded the state of Alabama with the CBC the first facility to take interest.
The program had a ribbon cutting ceremony with the CBC.
Guest speaker that Gameday Weekly got to meet up close and personal was former Notre Dame basketball coach Mike Brey.
Brey's brother Shane is part of the 360 hoops organization.
360 hoops is currently existing in the states of Massachusetts, New Jersey with Alabama now a part of the process and plans for it to be included soon in Florida and Pennsylvania.
The game is similar to "Hoop it up" with it being 3 on 3 competition.
What makes 360 hoops different is three goals right by each other in a triangle position.
The court is 30 feet long.
One point is awarded for each time the offense scores. The ball must be checked by the defense at the top of the circle, three passes must be made for any shot attempt.
Fouls are called with possession to be maintained by the offense, unless a basket is scored on a foul.
360 hoops reimagines basketball with patented three in one hoop and circular gameplay, thus creating a new sport.
A pleasure for GDW to visit with coach Brey:
Brey created greatness at Notre Dame in leading the Fighting Irish to 483 victories, 280 losses and a .633 winning percentage.
From 2013 to 2023, the Irish became a member of the well known Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
Notre Dame earned 225 victories with Brey in the conference.
His best season with the Irish was 2014/15. Notre Dame posted 32 victories out of 38 games, 14 & 4 in the ACC and in the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament.
Brey now is an assistant with the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA. Brey has been with the program for two seasons.
Gameday Weekly and Brey spent several minutes discussing a variety of topics related to basketball.
Without any doubt, a first time visit by a person with legacy from the University of Notre Dame to come into a hoops facility in Cullman, Alabama.
The 360 hoops summer series from the CBC will begin soon.
