West Point stays calm and avoids being upset by Cold Springs:

GDW Analysis:
FAIRVIEW: West Point went through one of its worst first halves all season in the Cullman County middle school championship Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors had made only 4 FGs through the first 12:00 against upset minded Cold Springs from Joe Shults Gymnasium.
Things changed in the 2nd half with West Point scoring 21 consecutive points to take home the championship hardware in a 40 to 27 comeback victory.
West Point concludes a good season for Tyler White with 19 wins against 2 losses. The Warriors were undefeated vs. county opposition to be the top seed entering the week long event.
Cold Springs had scored an upset in the semifinals Thursday. The No. 3 seed Eagles took down 2nd seed Good Hope 34 to 26 and would be superior with a 17 to 12 lead at the half and two quick baskets in the 3rd to go up 22 to 12.
From there, West Point scored 13 straight in the 3rd and went in front 25 to 22 when the period ended.
Four Warriors scored in the 3rd as Gauge Riggs had a three and a FG with Tripp Dingler netting 2 FGs and baskets by Colton Kimbrel and Leelan Ortiz to show balance for the ball club.
It would be a 21 to 0 surge for the Warriors before Cold Springs ended the drought when Jaxon Smith hit a shot with 2:39 to play in the game.
Dingler got hot with 11 points in the final half to lead West Point with 15. Kimbril and Riggs collected 8, Ortiz had 6 and Tyce Thompson tallied 3.
Cold Springs finishes the season 13 & 6. Brooks Belcher accounted for 9 before getting into foul trouble in the 2nd half.
Brandon Chasteen added 7, Jordan Garmon 6, Emmett Franks 3 and Jaxon Smith 2.
