Huge county game Saturday between Fairview & West Point:

No. 2 seed hangs in the balance in battle of Aggies vs. the Warriors:

GDW Analysis:
Long time rivals Fairview and West Point have a huge game on the hardwood Saturday afternoon at Joe Shults Gymnasium.
At stake is the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Cullman County tournament.
The tournament will be the week of January 19 from Wallace State's Tom Drake Coliseum.
All varsity and girls' games will be carried live on WKUL FM (92.1).
Varsity:
Going into this game being made up from an early season postponement, Fairview and West Point are 3 & 2 in county games.
Fairview has wins against Hanceville, Holly Pond and Good Hope.
West Point has defeated Hanceville, Good Hope and Vinemont.
Cold Springs will be the top seed when the pairings are to be set during a pre tournament meeting at the CCBOE office January 7.
Holly Pond is behind Fairview and West Point 3 & 3 then Vinemont at 2 & 3, Good Hope 1 & 4 and Hanceville 1 & 5.
Holly Pond has the tiebreaker on Vinemont, Good Hope has the tiebreaker on Hanceville.
Good Hope and Vinemont have yet to play. They are scheduled for a contest at Vinemont January 12, 5 days after the pairings are to be set.
Vinemont has the head to head edge with Fairview.
Positioning will be at a high rate in Saturday's game with No. 2 through No. 5 to be set up in better fashion once the game is completed.
Tip time for this game from Fairview is approximately 1:45 p.m.

Girls:
West Point is out to go undefeated vs. the county when the Lady Warriors meet the Lady Aggies Saturday at approximately 12:30 p.m.
West Point has the top seed in being 5 & 0, recently defeating Good Hope 56 to 52 that has Good Hope 2nd in the pairings.
Vinemont is 3 & 2 and has the tiebreaker on Fairview who is also 3 & 2.
Fairview has the tiebreaker on head to head with Cold Springs. CS went 3 & 3 in county play.
Holly Pond will be the 6th seed with Hanceville No. 7 when the pairings are announced.
Fairview gets a West Point squad that has won 16 in a row after they lost on opening day to Ider 69 to 65 in a game played at Snead State CC.
Fairview has been on an upswing by winning 4 of its last 5 decisions on campus.
The Lady Aggies will play Friday at home against Corner before facing their county rival.
West Point played in the Border Wars Classic at Athens earlier this week, dominating Montgomery Academy and Oxford by large margins.
The Lady Warriors are currently 4th in the 5A state prep poll.
