Local VB resumes after being off for Labor Day:

Eight schools to play on the 1st Tuesday of September:

GDW Analysis:
Local volleyball will be very active Tuesday after taking a couple of days off for the Labor Day holiday.
Eight schools of the 10 covered by Gameday Weekly in the county will be on the floor.
Only one school will be at home.
That is West Point with a huge tri match for the Lady Warriors vs. Cullman and Addison.
Cullman comes to Jim Boyd Gym with a 4 match winning streak.
Addison is currently ranked 1st in the 1A state prep poll.
West Point had 5 wins and 4 losses going into a tournament to Guntersville over the weekend.
West Point's new coach, Meagan Cagle, will coach against her former team, Cullman. Cagle directed the Lady Bearcats from 2017 to 2021.
Cagle will match up against Amy Hudson, in her first year at Cullman. The momentum the Lady 'Cats gained last week by going 4 for 4 from Bearcat Arena vs. Hartselle, Springville, Austin and Good Hope will have the team with high spirit and confidence,

Addison vs. Cullman at West Point 5:30
Addison at West Point 6:30
Holly Pond at JB Pennington 3:30 (Area)
Cold Springs at Oakman 5:30
Cullman Christian vs. Tanner at Falkville 5:30

Fairview at Guntersville 4:30 (Area)
Fairview vs. New Hope at Guntersville 5:30
Hanceville at Dora 6:00
Good Hope vs. Cordova at Carbon Hill 5:30
Good Hope at Carbon Hill 6:30
Good Hope was 7 & 4 going into the Labor Day weekend. Hanceville was 3 & 4 after playing in the Vinemont Invitational. Fairview stood at 2 & 2 according to information obtained by GDW.
Holly Pond had two victories in five assignments.
Idle:
Vinemont. Lady Eagles with the best record going into September at 11 & 3. Lady Eagles for new coach Bobby Daniels are 6 & 0 in the regular season and 2 & 0 in their area.
St. Bernard is also off the court on Tuesday. Lady Saints are 0 & 1 after opening the season August 29 in area play at Addison.
