Miranda Lambert signs with a new recording label:

Lambert ends 20 year status with Sony Music Nashville:

NASHVILLE: Miranda Lambert has signed with a new record label. She's now with Republic Records. The new contract includes promotion as well as other marketing efforts from Big Loud. After more than 20 years, she left Sony Music Nashville last year.

With the news, comes the announcement of new music. Miranda will be releasing a single on May 3rd, titled “Wranglers.”

About the song, she said: “Music is and always will be the thing that drives me, but having a new home has given me a hunger I didn’t realize I still had inside me. This song feels like it could be on the same record as ‘Gunpowder & Lead’; it has that same fury.”

The three-time Grammy winner just wrapped her 48-show Velvet Rodeo residency in Las Vegas, and will play Stagecoach this weekend. The Festival runs April 26-28.
