Home opener Thursday for the Holly Pond Lady Broncos:

GDW Analysis:

 When Thursday appears, the 2025 Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) volleyball regular season with be a week into the schedule.
  Making progress is what the coaches are looking for and the players are responding to the process.

 Going into Thursday, five programs have seen early season positive results with a winning percentage from .666 to .700, .710 and .750.
From Tuesday:

 Vinemont 3 to 0 over JB Pennington and 2 to 1 against Corner. Lady Eagles are 7 & 3 and 4 & 0 from Vinemont Gymnasium.
Holly Pond defeats Brindlee Mountain 3 to 0. Lady Broncos have 4 wins in 6 decisions.
Cullman got a tri match split, beating Curry 2 to 0 before losing to Central Florence 2 to 1. Lady Bearcats have won 4 of 6 matches away from Bearcat Arena.
Fairview went into an assignment at East Lawrence winning 5 of its first 7 matchups.
West Point split a tri match in Double Springs by beating Winston County 2 to 1 after going down to defeat to Haleyville. Lady Warriors have 4 victories out of 9 decisions.
Oakman defeated Hanceville 3 to 1 with the Lady Bulldogs 1 & 4 early into the season.
Cullman Christian School was swept in a tri match from Athens Bible, Athens Bible and Elkmont defeated the Lady Lions 2 to 0.
On the court Thursday:
JB Pennington, Cold Springs at Holly Pond 4:00.
Geraldine, St. Bernard at Hanceville 4:00
Locust Fork, Cullman Christian at Vinemont 5:00.
West Point vs. Arab at Moulton 4:00

 West Point vs. Guntersville at Moulton 5:00
Good Hope, Pell City at Mortimer Jordan 4:30

 Cullman at Hartselle 6:00

 West Point is involved in a 5A festivity at Lawrence County.
Home opener for Holly Pond. Cullman continues early season play as a road squad as does West Point. Good Hope is back on the road after winning 6 matches at home in the span of 3 days.
Vinemont will look to keep home court advantage as Locust Fork is area play and the Lady Eagles welcome Cullman Christian School to Vinemont Gymnasium.
Weekend assignments:
Cullman is in the Ironman Tournament at Huntsville High.
Amy Hudson's Lady 'Cats play Bob Jones and Grissom Friday at 4:30 & 7:30.
Cullman has a Saturday assignment at 10:00 against Wilson to close out pool play.
Vinemont is hosting an invitational Saturday.
Pool A will be Vinemont, Huntsville Christian and Lexington. In Pool B, Lindsay Lane will be joined by Decatur Heritage and Meek.

 Kaydi Woodard's Lady Eagles play Huntsville Christian at 9:00 and Lexington at 11:00.
The format moves to double elimination starting at 12:00 p.m. and to go through the rest of the day from Vinemont Gymnasium.
Last Saturday, Vinemont played in the Volley Brawl at Good Hope, reaching the losers bracket final against Hayden. Hayden claimed a 2 to 1 victory then was defeated by Good Hope in the title match 2 to 0.
