GDW Analysis:
At this time one year ago, pain was consumed by the West Point Lady Warriors in losing a heartbreaking 51 to 50 semifinal game from the NW Regional to Arab.
Thursday afternoon, redemption was so much sweet for the Lady Warriors, especially how they took control of the contest in the 2nd half after leading by a score at the half of 33 to 24.
West Point rolled by Priceville 32 to 8 in the final 16:00, going on a 17 to 5 run in the 3rd to have control from that point.
John Welborn's Lady Warriors connected on 7 of 12 FGs in the 3rd, scoring 3 times from long range to take a 50 to 29 advantage into the 4th.
Camryn Faulkner was hot in the semifinal by making 8 of 9 shots, scoring 24 points and getting 8 rebounds.
Shadix was steady with 16, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Jaelyn Faulkner delivered 6 assists to go with her 11 points.
West Point was 50 percent from the floor making 23 of 46 attempts. They had 8 treys and 11 of 16 at the line with Camryn Faulkner netting 5 of 6.
For Langlois of Priceville, her final game of a great prep career resulted in 14 points, 16 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Priceville struggled in shooting long range with only 2 makes out of 17 tries. They were just 2 of 6 from the line and turned the ball over 17 times that led to 23 points being scored by West Point.
Now with a 28 game winning streak, the Lady Warriors are in the Elite Eight. Priceville's great season that included an upset of No. 1 ranked Scottsboro in the sub regional ends at 24 wins & 7 losses.
