GDW Analysis:
Team play was vital in the 4th period with Cullman holding a 32 to 26 lead in trying to fight off Jasper Thursday and be the top seed for the 6A, Area 13 tournament.
Scoring had been regular all game by Hoffman, Wilson and Ugarkovich.
But few points were achieved from Dorough and Hanback until both hit 2 FGs in the final stanza.
A close game at 32 to 26 would be a Cullman lead of 45 to 30 late in the contest and much more in finishing with a 9 to 3 run.
Cullman has enjoyed very much under Tammy West in her first season with the Lady 'Cats.
A 20 win season was accomplished in this encounter, plus avenging an area loss to the Lady Vikings in Jasper a couple of weeks ago.
By hosting a 3 team area, Cullman has punched a ticket for the sub regional round of the AHSAA playoffs that will be determined later.
The performance from Hoffman and Ugarkovich were the best by both in front of Gameday Weekly this season.
Ugarkovich is a 7th grader, earning the starting spot at PG all year.
Hoffman would collect 8 FGs a free throw and a series of other good plays and to reach some wonderful feats with West and many more in the possibility.
