Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) softball starts the regional format of the playoff schedule Monday.
Three teams covered regularly by Gameday Weekly have qualified.
Two go into regional play as a runner up from their respective area.
The other is an area champion and carries the banner of being the best team in the sport in 2025.
Cold Springs:
Lady Eagles in 2A North Regional in Florence.
Cold Springs vs. Lindsay Lane Monday 9:00
CS wins: Vs. Sulligent/Tuscaloosa Academy in winners bracket Monday 1:45
CS loses: Vs. Sulligent/Tuscaloosa Academy in losers bracket 1:45
Hanceville:
Lady Bulldogs in 3A East Regional in Albertville.
Hanceville vs. Ohatchee 9:00 Monday
If HV wins: Vs. Fyffe/Randolph Co in winners bracket 1:45 Monday
If HV loses: Vs. Fyffe/Randolph Co in losers bracket 1:45
Good Hope:
Lady Raiders in 4A North Regional in Florence.
Good Hope vs. Dora 9:00 Tuesday
If GH wins: Vs. Wilson/Hamilton in winners bracket Tuesday 1:45
If GH loses: Vs. Wilson/Hamilton in losers bracket 1:45.
Good Hope has 24 wins, 11 losses and a tie, the best record locally entering this segment of the playoffs.
The Lady Raiders are the 4A, Area 13 champion and have won 7 in a row for coach Tim Tucker.
The format is double elimination with the top two teams to qualify for the AHSAA state that will be the following week at Choccolocco Park in Oxford.
