GDW baseball, softball award winners March 10:
Baseball:
Fairview Aggies OF Camden Cullen.
On March 12 at West Point, Cullen batted .750 going 3 for 4 in a 10 to 2 victory by the Aggies.
That allowed Fairview to enter the pairings for this week's Cullman County tournament as the No. 1 seed.
Cullen had 2 singles, a 2B, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.
The Aggies have gone undefeated in county games coming into this week.
Softball:
Vinemont Lady Eagles P Tori Vines
On March 13 at Jack Howell Field, Vines led Vinemont by Hanceville 4 to 1 with the Lady Eagles now 3 & 0 and in first place in 3A, Area 12.
Vines went the distance allowing Hanceville 1 run on 2 hits, 1 walk and 7 strikeouts.
She struck out the side in the 7th to end the game.
Vines was 0 for 2 batting with a walk and a run scored.
