West Point visited East Lawrence Thursday evening for the first time under current coaches John Welborn for the Lady Warriors and Mason Voce with the Warriors.
The Lady Warriors were in command from the start as they hit 10 FGs and 4 treys in the 1st for a 25 to 11 advantage.
A 22 to 6 surge in the 2nd sent the Lady Warriors to the locker room up 47 to 17.
East Lawrence kept West Point from scoring a FG until 2:11 in the 3rd when Camryn Faulkner ended the drought.
The Lady Warriors grabbed back the momentum and romped over East Lawrence to extend their winning streak to 9 games.
The Warriors looked at a 20 to 11 deficit to East Lawrence early in the 2nd.
Going on a 22 to 8 run to close the stanza with Shelton scoring 12 in the period while Franklin had 7 and Chapman tossed in 3 points.
The triple threat on this evening with the trio combining for 18 of the Warriors' 20 points in the 3rd and carry a 53 to 42 lead to the final 8:00.
West Point would soar on a 19 to 2 run before the Warriors cleared the bench with over 2:00 remaining.
East Lawrence tallied the final 8 points to narrow the defeat to 14.
