Flash Facts:
Two high scoring games Tuesday from the Pinnacle with Vinemont staying undefeated in 3A, Area 13 play as both are now 2 & 0 in the area standings and have the same record of 8 & 3.
The Lady Eagles erased a 26 to 20 deficit late in the 2nd period with a 7 to 0 run as Holcomb scored before time ran out to give the home club a 27 to 26 lead.
Locust Fork scored 8 FGs in the half from three point range, 5 by Dutton.
Vinemont netted 4 in this frame as Holcomb, Thomason, Robinson and Miller scored once from downtown.
The difference was in the 3rd when Vinemont coach Emily Willoughby got out of a zone defense to pressure and did not allow Locust Fork to convert a trey in this stanza.
Vinemont had a 19 to 10 surge with the Lady Eagles scoring on 7 shots, 3 treys, 2 by Holcomb and one from Yarbrough.
Robinson used her fundamentals to perfection in netting 4 FGs and had 16 through the 3rd with Vinemont leading 46 to 36.
Vinemont finished with 22 field goals, 8 treys to Locust Fork scoring 12 times from 3 point territory and 13 FGs for the night.
A rare moment in this game when 3 players accounted for 20 points, Holcomb and Robinson sharing this honor for Vinemont and Dutton for Locust Fork.

Vinemont put up a 22 point 2nd period on Locust Fork to just 11 for the Hornets and turned a 19 to 16 1st period deficit into a 38 to 30 advantage at the half.
The Eagles would twice in the 2nd half get the lead to 10 points only to see Locust Fork rally.

In the closing seconds, the Hornets were behind 67 to 64 in need of a three to even the numbers. The Hornets missed and free throws from Bush closed out an entertaining and hard fought area victory for James Brown's group.
Bush would be sharp from the line in hitting 9 of 10 on the evening, 4 of 5 in crunch time.
The Eagles share the Area 13 lead with Holly Pond who is 2 & 0 from recent wins against Pennington and Locust Fork.
