AHSAA allows prep basketball teams to begin workouts:

New season for prep hoops will start on November 6:

MONTGOMERY: Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) allowed basketball teams to start workouts for the upcoming 2025/26 season Monday.
The 7 schools in the Cullman County system took part in an annual Media Day from the CCBOE conference room to signify the new season is vastly approaching.
A percentage of the teams are not at full strength with several having players still involved in fall sports such as football, volleyball and cross country.
The 2025/26 season will present the following new coaches:
Girls:
Paige Adams at Cold Springs
Garrett Cone at Hanceville
Varsity:
Drew Adams at Cold Springs
  Mitch Morris at Good Hope
James Brown at Vinemont

 Longevity:
John Welborn at West Point (G) 12th season
Stephen Chandler at Hanceville 8th season

1A, Area 14 - Cullman Christian, St. Bernard with Addison & Meek
2A, Area 11 - Cold Springs with Falkville & Winston County
3A, Area 11 - Hanceville, Holly Pond, Vinemont with JB Pennington & Locust Fork

5A, Area 14 - Fairview with Arab, Guntersville & Scottsboro
5A, Area 15 - West Point with Lawrence Co & Russellville
