AHSAA football teams wait for Monday to arrive to start workouts:

When Monday arrives, AHSAA football teams will be in enjoyment as they can start preparing for the 2025 season.
The AHSAA has it for safety concerns, the first three days of fall workouts to be in helmets and shorts only. Then on the 4th day they can don full gear and move forward with gameplan preparations.
As for the weather, conditions will be a little different than it was for July.
No heat advisories are expected through the week.
The daily temps for Monday and Tuesday are to be in the upper 70s with a slight chance of rain. It will be humid as well.
From Wednesday through Friday, the temperature will move toward the low 80s and possible showers or thunderstorms to be in the area.
The first three days of practice time can be at the coaches' discretion for teams in the Cullman County school system.
School will start on Thursday for students from letter A to letter K.
Students that are from letter L to letter Z will be in the classroom Friday.
Cullman High School will operate its first day of the new school year on Wednesday.

Local football was good in the previous regular season as Fairview went 9 & 0, Good Hope 9 & 1, Vinemont 7 & 3, Cullman and Cold Springs 5 & 5.
Even improvement got noticed from Holly Pond as the Broncos tallied 4 wins in 2024 after winning 2 games in 2023.
Hanceville encountered a tough season with 1 win out of 10 tries and West Point was only 2 & 8, the lowest number of victories since 2022 at 3 & 7.
Fairview and Good Hope set a history pattern for coming into the final regular season game undefeated and facing one another from James Shabel Stadium in Good Hope.
The Aggies prevailed 48 to 21 to acclaim a first time of beating every opponent in one regular season setup.
Week 1 schedule:
Local football will be in the spotlight with a Thursday night game August 21. The Hanceville Bulldogs visit the Cold Springs Eagles at Cranford Stricklin Stadium.
On the 22nd, one team will enjoy opening week of playing at home.
The Cullman Bearcats get the Bob Jones Patriots at Britton Field/Woodard Stadium.
Fairview has picked up a game with the Aggies to open 2025 heading to Jefferson County to play Fultondale.
Holly Pond Broncos visit Appalachian in Blount County, the Vinemont Eagles make a short tour into Morgan County to battle Falkville and the West Point Warriors will go into Winston County to meet Haleyville.
Good Hope is playing, but it's a jamboree game for the Raiders. Good Hope will be playing at Pisgah on the 22nd.
The Hanceville/Cold Springs game will be live on 92.1 FM.
Bob Jones at Cullman will be carried live in 98.3 FM.
All games will kick off at 7:00 p.m.
