Alabama & Auburn win, now what for the Tide & Tigers?:
Honeymoon is over as both get set for grueling SEC games:

Flash Thoughts:
As expected, Alabama and Auburn claimed victory in non conference play on Saturday afternoon.
Alabama rolled over Wisconsin 38 to 14, Auburn had an enjoyable homecoming in taking down South Alabama 31 to 15.
Now comes reality for the Crimson Tide and the Tigers.
A brutal start in this year's Southeastern Conference schedule.
Alabama has a week off in plenty of time to prepare to visit the Georgia Bulldogs on September 27.
Auburn will step into the conference setup Saturday by playing at the University of Oklahoma.
The first three games for the Tide and Tigers in the SEC this season can possibly break their spirits well before the schedule heads into the later part of October.
Alabama will see Georgia, Vanderbilt and Missouri between September 27 to October 11.
For Auburn, the Tigers have games at Oklahoma, at Texas A&M and at home with Georgia in the quest to see if they can move up the ladder and return to challenging for the top spot in the league.
Alabama did what was needed Saturday in being a more superior team than Wisconsin. Wisconsin was a contender a few years ago in the Big Ten, now the Badgers are a pretender.
Auburn managed to outperform South Alabama enough to complete the start of three games outside the SEC in starting 2025 play with three victories.
Improvement has to continue and the SEC is not a walk in the park anymore.
Trying to figure out Georgia is like trying to make sure your tennis shoes are tied properly.
Georgia toyed with Tennessee Saturday and was very lucky that a missed FG as time expired in regulation did not send them to 0 & 1 in conference play.
Alabama has to focus on Alabama and also the fact for Kalen DeBoer that all of his losses in less than two seasons with the Tide have been away from Saban Field/Bryant Denny Stadium.
Auburn's early portion of the new schedule has placed the Tigers down on the plains.
Now comes the opportunity for Huge Freeze and Auburn to show its true identity.
Former Oklahoma QB Jackson Arnold will get to show what he can do in now leading the Auburn offense.
Oklahoma will look to seek and destroy the Tigers in now an SEC member in their second year.
The passion from these two storied SEC programs could fizzle out like a candle if neither is able to perform in a steady role with both having 2 of their first 3 games in the conference on the road.
There is no doubt on how Georgia knew it survived Knoxville and is idle this week to reflect on being the 2nd best team in the SEC currently ranked across the country.
I'm sure there is some portion of happiness for both did enjoy great weather on September 13 in playing at home and the fact that both stepped out in front and made the opponent chase them all afternoon.
The SEC does mean more with football being a solid product even though the conference has not claimed the national championship for the past three seasons.
Vanderbilt is 3 & 0 and put a beatdown on South Carolina Saturday night in Columbia.
LSU was a good team in the 2nd half to send Florida supporters into more frustration with that possibly to continue this week when the Gators have to visit undefeated Miami.
Texas' fans booing Arch Manning? Come on Longhorn Nation. You did beat UTEP even though it was sort of lackluster at 27 to 10.
Ole Miss is a scoring machine with no defense. Cupcake wins for Missouri, Mississippi State but what a dandy for Texas A&M to come out of Notre Dame and give the Fighting Irish their 2nd loss early into this schedule?
One game at a time is the best advice from yours truly for the over passionate fans of SEC football, especially those who hail from Tuscaloosa.
