A huge week of VB for the Holly Pond Lady Broncos:

Three matchups with 3A, Area 11 foes coming up for Holly Pond VB:

GDW Analysis:
HOLLY POND: In preparing for a huge week of matchups, Holly Pond volleyball enters the new week with momentum for winning seven of its last eight assignments since last Saturday.
The Lady Broncos have to face three foes this week in AHSAA 3A, Area 11 play.
Holly Pond entertains Locust Fork Monday, travels to JB Pennington Tuesday and gets a rematch at home Thursday with current area leader Vinemont.
The Lady Broncos are 4 & 1 in the area standings, a game behind Vinemont's 5 & 0 area mark.
Last week Holly Pond swept Locust Fork and Hanceville while Vinemont remained without an area loss for victory at Hanceville and JB Pennington.
Adrien Adams' Lady Broncos are 16 & 6 for the season.
Kaydi Woodard's first season with Vinemont has gone 18 & 5 thus far.

AHSAA Northwest Regional 2A semifinal: Decatur Heritage 17 11 12 12 4 - 58 (18 & 9) Cold Springs 14 11 16 11 11 - 65 (29 & 4) CS: Cash Dickerson 21, Lindan Hill 17, Breydon Hallman 14, Ayden Black 8, Ethan Day 4, Wyatt Barker 2. DHCA: Jordan Davis 22, Sam Gardner 12, Jaion Miller 9. GDW Analysis: Cold Springs rose to the challenge with defending regional champion Decatur Heritage in the OT period Tuesday from Tom Drake Coliseum at Wallace State. A 3 pointer by Black gave them the lead at 57 to 54. Black's 2nd trey in the OT sent them ahead at 60 to 56. Dickerson tallied a pair from the FT line at 0:39 and the lead was 62 to 58. Dickerson closed out the huge win in Drew Adams' first season with a FT with 0:08 left. The 8th grader was 9 of 13 from the FT line. Hill went 7 of 14 shooting and had 8 rebounds. Hallman enjoyed perfection of going 7 of 7 from the field, adding a game high 11 rebounds. Black added 4 assists to the clutch scoring he delivered in the 4th and OT. Davis showed a great outing for Decatur Heritage with 8 of 16, 4 of 9 treys, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Up next for Cold Springs: Vs.
