GDW Analysis:
ATLANTA: Alabama had a bad day Saturday in the SEC championship game.
A lot of credit goes to the Georgia Bulldogs for how they made December 06, 2025 very miserable for them at Mercedes Benz Stadium.
Georgia finally defeats Alabama in the title bout by a final score of 28 to 7.
The game was carried live on 92.1 FM via the SEC Radio Network.
Georgia used very good field position to get a pair of touchdowns in the 1st half and build a 14 to 0 lead.
Alabama played shorthanded with two running backs out of the game due to injuries and several other players to get banged up.
The Tide drove 91 yards and scored a TD in the 4th quarter to make it 21 to 7.
Then on the next Bama drive, the lost the ball on downs at its 12 and Georgia added a TD to make this a one sided SEC championship victory.
Georgia has been in the conference title game 8 of the last 9 years.
The Bulldogs now have 3 of the last 4 and again, beat Alabama for the first time in the title bout.
Gunner Stockton was 20 of 26 passing for 156 yards and 3 TDs for Georgia with 0 interceptions.

Georgia goes to 12 & 1 and is very good shape of getting a bye when the college football playoff format is finalized early next week.
The Bulldogs could be at worse a 4 seed or possibly a 2 seed pending on the outcome of Saturday night's Big Ten championship between Ohio State and Indiana.
Alabama is 10 & 3 with the Tide 7 & 1 in SEC regular season play and a victory at Georgia September 27.
The season opening loss to lowly Florida State could be more than enough damage to keep the Tide from being in the Top 12 when the playoff committee does its work on Sunday when all conference title games are in the record books.
Alabama improved in 2025 with Kalen DeBoer in his 2nd year in T-town as compared to 9 & 4 last season.
