GDW Analysis:
FULTONDALE: Another standout from Good Hope softball is performing at a strong rate with her travel team in a series of showcase events.
The Lady Raider is senior Lizzy Steed. Steed displayed her skills in the spring by being named the most outstanding player in the Cullman County High School tournament by Gameday Weekly.
Steed was all county, all area, on the GDW all performance team and ranked by GDW as the top leadoff batter.
Currently in the summer, Steed is playing with the EC Bullets, an 18 under group based out of Huntsville and coached by Clem Rodgers.
The Bullets are playing in the Heart of Dixie Showcase from the Fultondale Sports Complex.
Their first game was seen by GDW with the Bullets dropping a 4 to 3 decision to the Lady Wreckers.
The Bullets faced Georgia Trouble in the afternoon and was to take on Tennessee MoJo Saturday evening.
Their schedule for Sunday was to be determined based on their results from round robin play.
Like she does for Good Hope, Steed is the leadoff hitter for the Bullets.
She was 2 for 2 in the opener against the Wreckers, a pair of well executed bunt singles.
Steed bats from the left side and is difficult to defend. Her skills at small ball are solid for placing the ball and her speed to get to first base quickly.

She is also capable of going the opposite way in hitting the ball and is not a pure pull hitter from the left side.
How Steed stood out back in the Cullman County tournament was hitting .750 in the two Good Hope wins against Cold Springs and West Point.
Her on base percentage, plus scoring runs and stealing bases enabled her to receive the honor courtesy of GDW.
Steed has shown consistency in recent showcases for the Bullets.
Two weeks ago in Dalton, Georgia, Steed was tops on the team in stolen bases (4), 2nd in on base percentage (.500) and among four players who were .1000 in their fielding average.
Before the assignment in Georgia, Steed and her Bullets were at Fultondale and in the Scout Town Showcase.
The left handed hitting Steed went .529 for the series, 2nd best. Her on base percentage was at .556 and once again, perfect in handling fielding chances from her center spot.
On the 2nd weekend of June in Montgomery, Steed hit .500 an on base % of .500 and .1000 for her fielding rate,
Steed blends her skills with very good talented around her.

One of them is a rival to her and Good Hope too,
Adi Grace Rodgers is a West Morgan in the spring, pitching and playing 1st for the Laby Rebels.
She and Steed were teammates Saturday and have been together in travel ball.
Showcases are designed to teams face good competition and to be evaluated by collegiate programs.
Wallace State assistant Mollie Hanson was seeing the Bullets play and looking at others during the long warm day at a good facility in Jefferson County.

The Bullets are scheduled to be a showcase next weekend inn Decatur
