Birmingham ready to hoop it up for NCAA women's basketball:

Quality to be at the BJCC this weekend in NCAA women's play:

GDW Analysis:
BIRMINGHAM: Legacy Arena at the BJCC presents a sports spectacular for the final weekend of March.
The NCAA women's basketball tournament will present play in the "Sweet 16" and the "Elite 8" in the next phase of "March Madness."
The facility that recently drew 58,000 for the week long AHSAA basketball championships, earned the opportunity by the NCAA due to expanding the arena and having a good turnout in the 2nd round of the me
n's tournament in 2023 that included Alabama and Auburn.
To provide quality, Legacy Arena has it with the participants that have conquered two rounds so far.
Defending national champion and SEC winner South Carolina is here.
Also from the SEC is Texas in its first year in the league and Tennessee, who has been an NCAA qualifier every year the women chose the NCAA to lead them in 1982.
Out of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is Duke University, the University of North Carolina and Notre Dame.
The University of Maryland represents the Big Ten Conference and TCU brings greatness from the Big XII Conference.
These programs will have good fan base with the capacity well over 17,000 for a sporting event at Legacy Arena.
Friday:
Duke vs. North Carolina 1:30 p.m.
South Carolina vs. Maryland 4:00 p.m.
Saturday:
Notre Dame vs. TCU 12:00 p.m.
Tennessee vs. Texas 2:30 p.m.
Sunday:
Duke/UNC winner vs. SC/Maryland winner 12:00

Monday:
ND/TCU winner vs. UT/Texas winner 6:00 p.m.

The winners from Sunday and Monday games will head on to the Final Four to be in Tampa, Florida at Amile Arena. That will take place April 4th & 6th.

Gameday Weekly has been able to be in attendance for Friday and Sunday.
Plenty will be provided by GDW in game reports and features.
