Two local players invited to AHSAA basketball all star game:

Robinson & Faulkner earn spotlight during all star sports week 2025:

MONTGOMERY: For the 3rd consecutive year, the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) will have locals taking part in the basketball game.
The AHSAA Athletic Directors & Coaches Association announced Tuesday, Vinemont's Reagan Robinson and West Point's Jaelyn Faulkner will be playing for Team North.
This is part of the AHSAA all star sports week, a tradition that has been coordinated by the AHSAA since 1997.
All Star Sports Week will be held in the Capitol City the week of July 14.
Both were impact performers to their squad during the 2024/25 season.

 Robinson was selected by Gameday Weekly as the No. 1 point guard on the all performance team with Faulkner right behind her at No. 2.
Robinson helped Vinemont to a school record 22 victories, the 3A, Area 11 regular season title and a 12 & 1 record at home.
Faulkner was part of West Point's success with the Lady Warriors winning 24 games, the 5A, Area 15 championship and a victory in the sub regional round of the playoffs.
Joining Robinson and Faulkner that were seen by GDW in the 2024/25 schedule for the North team will be Lani Smallwood of Albertville, Bella Reese of Dora, Kirstin Johnson of Hazel Green, Campbell Barron of Pisgah, Aaliyah Blanchard and Khloe Ford of Hoover.

 The North coaches will be John David Smelser of Vestavia as the head with Carla Clemons of Lauderdale County the administrative coach.

 A pair of Hayden Wildcats were invited to play for the North in the varsity classic.
Power forward Josh Martin and forward Tucker Hyatt will be representing the Wildcats in the 2025 event to be at the Cramton Bowl Sportsplex.
Ryan Chambless of Glencoe will coach the North team while the administrative coach is Jeremy Crutcher of Hazel Green.
