Cold Springs is tied for 2nd in Region 6 with Southeastern. Coosa is the current leader in the region. Coosa is No. 3 in the latest 2A state ranking.
Coosa is under the direction of former Hoover High School coach Rush Propst.
In 9 years from 1999 to 2007, Propst went 110 & 16 and 35 & 3 in the playoffs. Hoover won the AHSAA state title 5 times.
This is his first season with Coosa Christian, located in the Gadsden area.
For Cold Springs, the Eagles are off to their best start since 2014 with 6 wins in 7 games and 4 & 0 on the home field.
The Eagles have won 4 in a row with Coosa visiting Cold Springs for the first time and currently on a 5 game winning streak.

LW: Holly Pond lost to Whitesburg Christian 28 to 6.
Broncos are 3 & 3 and 2 & 2 in the region, locked in a 3 way tie for 3rd with Whitesburg and Collinsville.
Fyffe and Geraldine are atop the region with 4 & 0 records.
The Broncos have the Rams visiting from Marshall County as their homecoming opponent.
Holly Pond was 4 & 6 last year, making progress after going 2 & 8 in 2023.
In trying to stay near playoff contention, coach Will McDaniel's Broncos have Fyffe at home the 17th and end regional play on October 24 at Collinsville.
The Broncos have not been in the AHSAA playoffs since the 2018 season.
Broncos are 1 & 1 at home in 2025.
