GDW Analysis:
WEST POINT: Momentum is a task West Point is out to keep in the final week of the AHSAA volleyball regular season.
The Lady Warriors built up this emotional stature after winning the Cullman County championship October 2 at Vinemont.
Monday was senior night for the squad and the seniors gave a great effort with West Point defeating a good Addison squad three games to one.
Addison got a 26 to 24 victory in the opening set. West Point raised the performance level the next three games by scores of 25 to 11, 25 to 19 and 25 to 9.

Seven seniors came to perform well with the group being recognized prior to the match.
Coach Meagan Cagle got to see efficient play up front by seniors Adrianna Owens, Violet Riddle, Kelsye Will while Patton Fell, Caitlee Simmons, Charli Aris and Bella Thornton contributed from the back row and at the service line.
After Addison erased a 20 to 18 deficit in the first set to win it 26 to 24 thanks to crunch time performances from Ava Bartlett, Annabeth Powell, Karson Wyatt, Allieruth Powell, West Point was ready to make this evening theirs.
Fell put in some quality serves with the team jumping to a 6 to 0 lead. A kill from Owens upped the score to 12 to 5, Riddle delivered a kill and it was 15 to 6.
A kill by Riddle had them on the verge of winning the set with it coming to an end on a kill by junior Laklin Shadix, the most outstanding player in the county tournament selected by Gameday Weekly.

Addison made a move to take away West Point's momentum with a 9 to 3 advantage early in the 3rd set.
Simmons and Fell developed good strokes on their serves with aggressive play at the net being shown by Owens and Riddle.
West Point went ahead to stay at 13 to 12 from a score by Fell. Riddle was again stepping in a huge role as a kill by the senior made it 24 to 17 before the Lady Warriors broke serve and went up two games to one in a 25 to 19 triumph.
A series of positive plays by Owens and the final five service points being scored by Fell, the Lady Warriors celebrated this evening at 7:16 p.m. as the match was played in 1 hour, 23 minutes.
Non seniors that made key plays through the match included freshmen Kenadi Pagan and Kenlee Perry, plus Chloe Hall and Mary Beth Penn.
West Point improved to 22 and 11 with the victory and 6 & 1 in assignments played at Jim Boyd Gymnasium.
The Lady Warriors visit Russellville Tuesday for a 5A, Area 15 battle.

A West Point victory and the Lady Warriors will host the area tournament the following week.
