GDW Analysis:
Travel fatigue did not develop for Cold Springs with the Eagles making a distant trip off campus for the 2nd time in 3 days.
On Saturday, the Eagles went to war with the Jasper Vikings at Carl Cannon Coliseum.
For Groundhog evening, Drew Adams' crew withstood a strong challenge from Sam Wallace's Danville squad in a quest to upset the No. 5 team currently in 2A basketball.
Adams was concerned for Hallman, his center, left the game at 6:05 in the first with an undisclosed leg injury.
Hallman sat out for 8:00. When he was back on the floor at the 6:06 mark of the 2nd, Hallman would play 4:00 of the period and present his team with 6 points in the quarter, 2 FGs and 2 FTs.
Hill scored prior to the half ending in sending the Eagles ahead at the break 26 to 24.
Hill was very positive in three consecutive possessions for the Eagles during the 4th. He had back to back slams, the 2nd on an alley oop pass from Black then followed it with a layup.
That gave the Eagles breathing room at 45 to 37. Cold Springs was 10 of 13 from the line in the 4th for 76 percent.
Dickerson went 5 of 5 making a pair after a technical foul was charged on Compton of Danville.
Hill hit 3 of 4 while Black made 2 of 4.
