 GDW Analysis:
Being outscored 14 to 3 in the 3rd period with Danville hitting 5 FGs to 1 by Cold Springs was how the outcome of this game got decided Monday evening in Morgan County.
Momentum eluded Cold Springs when Danville knocked down a 3 pointer to end the half and go up 23 to 19.
The only FG scored by the Lady Eagles in the 3rd was from Addison.
Dickerson managed to tally a point from the line in the period after scoring 11 through the first half.
Danville's 14 to 3 surge sent the Lady Hawks to the 4th with a 37 to 22.
Paige Adams' squad finally found a shooting stroke with 6 FGs getting connected in the 4th, two treys by Addison and 4 from close range by Dickerson.
But the comeback came late as time ran out on the Lady Eagles with Danville getting a big upset in defeating the No. 9 team in Class 2A.
This was the 3rd loss in the last 4 assignments for the Lady Eagles. Cold Springs lost at Jasper on January 31 by the score of 46 to 41. The last two defeats have been by margin of 5 points.
To regain momentum before hosting the 2A Area 11 tournament, Cold Springs meets Addison at home Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.
