Success was achieved Monday evening in local prep basketball by teams playing on the road.
Varsity teams came out as a winner in three of four assignments.
Victory was also achieved by a pair of girls' teams with one happening in Blount County and the other in Winston County.

Vinemont stopped a 2 game losing streak in a hard fought victory over a solid 1A school in the Oneonta area of Blount County.
In his first season at Cold Springs, Drew Adams has seen the Eagles soar to 25 wins out of 29 games, the most victories for this squad in one season since 2014/15 when they went 24 & 7 under Tim Willoughby and won an area championship.
Holly Pond Broncos last week outscored Addison 72 to 69 in 2 OT at home. On Monday, the Broncos dominated the rematch in Addison as they have won three in a row and four of their last five.
The Vinemont Lady Eagles are on the verge of an accomplishment the program has not experienced in over 20 years.
Beating Appalachian Monday evening gives them 19 wins on the season in their 2nd year with Emily Willoughby.
Vinemont accounted for a school record 22 victories last season.
A victory Friday in the 3A Area 11 semifinal from Vinemont will present the program a 2nd straight 20 win campaign.
Momentum is locked in with the Holly Pond Lady Broncos. They enter the 3A Area 11 playoffs at Vinemont this weekend with three consecutive victories and winners in four of their last five decisions.
Cold Springs was looking to get out of a slump heading into a home game Tuesday with Addison.
The Lady Eagles have suffered defeat in three of their past four games with the last two coming by a margin of 5 point losses at Jasper and at Danville.
Cullman Christian Lady Lions take a 10 & 10 record into the 1A Area 14 playoffs with a semifinal game vs. Addison Friday at Meek High School.
CCS swept the series with Addison to take the No. 2 seed into the playoff segment.
