Cullman SB and BB share winning formula with each other:

Both teams enjoy the first weekend of spring with a lot of winning:

GDW Analysis:
Spring is officially here and a lot of winning went to work by Cullman baseball and softball over the weekend.
Cullman BB has enjoyed the friendly confines of Bill Shelton Field with a current 5 game winning streak.

 Three victories were produced in the span of 3 days as Cullman edged No. 1 Hartselle 9 to 8 on March 19 then prevailed in a doubleheader with Southside Gadsden Saturday by scores of 7 to 3 and 10 to 0.
Brent Patterson's Bearcats are 8 & 3 entering the upcoming week with their next assignment on the road at Buckhorn Monday at 4:30 p.m.

In Game 2 of the Southside series, Knox Mauldin belted a grand slam in a 5 run 4th inning to give the 'Cats a comfortable advantage.

 Cross Bowen struck out the side in the 5th for the game to end via the run rule and the 'Cats pick up a shutout triumph against their visitor from Etowah County.
Softball:
Drew Bryson's squad went to Limestone County as a participant in the Elkmont Invitational.
Cullman started on Friday with a 5 to 3 victory over James Clemens then a 6 to 1 decision against Danville.
Saturday would be busy with Cullman getting a 15 to 0 shutout of Lexington, outscoring James Clemens 9 to 6, knocking off Westminster Christian 8 to 1 before the momentum slipped through the grasp in falling to Central Florence 9 to 6.
For the weekend, 5 wins in 6 decisions as Cullman is 19 & 4 for the season.
Next up for the Lady 'Cats will be a game at the Cullman campus Monday vs. the Hayden Lady Wildcats at 4:30 p.m.
Cullman has utilized working Kynlei Storey and Dracen Bates in the circle with both handling the responsibilities well in hand.
Storey had two victories on Saturday including a shutout over Lexington and allowing Westminster one run on one hit.

 Bates was credited with the victory over James Clemens for the squad to defeat this team from the Madison area the 2nd time during the weekend.
Timely hitting has come from the likes of Abby Maples, Hattie Graham, Samantha Johnson and Leighton McGriff.
Cullman has played at home four times a month into their first season with Bryson.
Their last time they were on the home turf was March 12 when Cullman crushed Arab 23 to 3, scoring 21 runs in the 1st inning on 14 hits.
 The two teams have combined for 27 wins against 7 losses heading into the final week of play for the month of March.
