Fairview Aggies extend their football season to the Elite 8:

Three TDs in the 4th quarter gets Fairview a victory in 2nd round:

GDW Analysis:
JACKSONVILLE: In the 4th quarter of their 5A state playoff game Friday evening, the Fairview Aggies played fundamental, discipline football.
The Jacksonville Golden Eagles did not.
Jacksonville got penalized three times and turned the ball over twice on interceptions in the game's final 12 minutes.
Fairview broke the tie with three TDs in the span of 6:00 in the last period to topple Jacksonville 28 to 13 in the 2nd round from Golden Eagle Stadium.
Jacksonville got called for unsportsmanlike conduct after a Fairview incompletion that gave the Aggies a first down on their first series of the final period.
Fairview would score to get the lead and would add to it from misfortune by Jacksonville.
An interception from Jace Stephens gave the Aggies the ball at the Jacksonville 33.
Jake Harper would take it in from the 2 for his second score of the quarter.
After Jacksonville put the ball into the end zone, but missed the extra point in trailing 21 to 13, Fairview recovered an onside kick at their 47.
A 49 yard pass from Kolt Redding to Stephens closed out the scoring with 2:25 to play in the period.
Stephens then got his 2nd interception as this one was at the Fairview 35. The Aggies ran out the final 2:06 and move on to the Elite 8 with a 12 & 0 record.
Turnovers were part of the game early, Harper ran for 15 yards on the first snap, but fumbled. Jacksonville would start at the Fairview 37, only to lose the ball via fumble three players later at the Aggies' 24 yard line.
The Aggies drove 76 yards in 11 plays and led 7 to 0 when Harper scored on a 10 yard run and Redding tacked on the conversion.
Fairview would stay a touchdown ahead until Jacksonville used good field position to start the 3rd, taking the ball into the end zone on a 50 yard series with 6:17 showing on the clock.
The first of three costly penalties by Jacksonville in the 4th presented the Aggies a new set of downs with Harper in the end zone on a 4 yard run.
Harper tore through the Jacksonville defense for 248 yards and three touchdowns.
The senior rushed for 86 in the 1st, 14 in the 2nd, 72 in the 3rd and 76 in the 4th.
Fairview's running game tallied 276 yards for the night. The Aggies earned 387 total yards with Redding completing 7 of 14 passes for 113 yards and the TD in the 4th to Stephens.
Jacksonville accounted for 197 yards total offense, 21 yards passing in the 2nd half.
The Golden Eagles turned the ball over three times and were penalized 10 times for 84 yards.
George Redding's Aggies will be at Dafford Smith Stadium to play Scottsboro in the quarterfinal round next Friday.
Scottsboro earned a victory over St. Clair County to set up this encounter with the No. 1 seed from 5A, Region 7.
