 Two weeks of the 2025 local football season is done, so is games for August.
Now the season moves into September with the next three weeks to be important in the quest of regional games for our squads.
Flash Facts from Week 2 of the season:
* Good Hope's 42 to 7 victory against West Point is the first in this series by the home team since 2020. The last 3 years the road team was the winner and the 2021 game was a forfeit for Good Hope having COVID issues.
* Cold Springs Eagles are 2 & 0 for the 4th consecutive year under Brendan Voce.
* Holly Pond Broncos scored 74 points against the Hanceville Bulldogs for the 2nd year in a row. Broncos 74 to 36 at HP in 2024 and a 74 to 41 triumph at HV in 2025.
* Fairview Aggies have a 12 game regular season winning streak. The Aggies won their final in 2023, went 9 & 0 in 2024 and 2 & 0 to start 2025.
* Cold Springs, Fairview are 2 & 0, Good Hope is 1 & 0 currently.
* Cullman, Hanceville and Vinemont are 0 & 2 going into September.

 * Holly Pond and West Point are 1 & 1 after 2 weeks of the regular season.
* Top offense is Cold Springs, 54.0 average per game. Fairview is 2nd at 44.0
* Cold Springs and Good Hope defense is allowing a TD per game, best in the county.
