GDW Analysis:
A tradition by Gameday Weekly and WKUL FM has been honoring top senior athletes year by year.
The 2024 season is done as the schools in the Cullman County system will graduate this weekend with Cullman, Cullman Christian and St. Bernard to graduate in the upcoming week.
GDW selects an outstanding senior from each school. The athlete has to participate in at least 2 sports and is recognized for excellence they give in the field of athletic competition.
This is the list of top male and female athlete from each school covered regularly by GDW and WKUL FM.

Ethan Edgeworth of Cold Springs: Cullman County XC champion, AHSAA XC champion, AHSAA Indoor TK champion, Cullman County TK champion, AHSAA sectional TK champion, AHSAA TK champion,
record setter in AHSAA 1,600 meter at Cullman HS May 3.
Champion in 800, 1,600, 3,200 and 4 X 800 relay in final track meet of his prep career, May 3 & 4 at Cullman HS.
Signed letter of intent to run cross country at University of Tennessee.

Ivey Maddox of Good Hope: Cullman County BK all time leading scorer, Cullman County VB MVP, Bill Shelton BK award co-winner, AHSAA All State, ASWA 4A player of the year, AHSAA All Star in North/South game and Alabama vs. Mississippi.
Signed letter of intent to play basketball at University of Alabama Huntsville.
