GDW sees parity with the local VB teams playing at Good Hope:

GDW Analysis:
GOOD HOPE: Reportedly Good Hope High School has been hosting an early season volleyball tournament for seven years.
Known as the Volley Brawl, Good Hope had five other schools to visit Saturday with three of them Cullman County programs.
The Volley Brawl was divided into two groups.
Good Hope, Vinemont and Westminster Christian made up Pool A.
Pool B featured Cold Springs, Fairview and Hayden.
From the games Gameday Weekly covered, parity was well on display with the four locals.
Good Hope defeated Vinemont 25 to 19 and 25 to 21, coming from behind in both sets.
Fairview swept Cold Springs in good matchups 25 to 20 and 25 to 15.
From round robin to a tournament setup, Vinemont claimed victory against Cold Springs, 25 to 20, 23 to 25 and winning the tiebreaker 15 to 11.
In the winners semifinal, Vinemont shook off two deficits in moving by Fairview 25 to 20 and 25 to 20.
Good Hope had a good day after not winning Thursday in the 2025 opener, losing to Albertville 2 to 0 and Madison County 2 to 1 at Madison County.
After the Vinemont triumph, the Lady Raiders came from losing the first set to Westminster 25 to 22, earning a 25 to 15 decision and romping by the Huntsville team in the tiebreaker 15 to 4.
Vinemont regrouped from the Good Hope defeat to sweep Westminster 25 to 20 and 25 to 15.
New coach Kaydi Woodard watched her Lady Eagles in the tournament bracket, edge Cold Springs in a tiebreaker and take down Fairview by coming back in both sets.
Heading into the winners bracket final for a rematch was Good Hope at 3 & 0 and Vinemont 3 & 1.
Outstanding performers Saturday:
Good Hope: Emma Herring, Isabella Guzman, Caselyn Whatley.
Vinemont: Addison Holcomb, Caroline Miller, Ava Abernathy.
Fairview: Whitney Quick, Kailyn Redding, Anns Strane
Cold Springs: Hollyn Bruer, Kelsey Wilson, Allie Light.
Herring was solid in the match with Vinemont from her role on the front and back line. Herring is a senior.
Guzman, a freshman, showed strong play at the net and was consistent all day in her first year with the varsity group.
Holcomb made things happen with consistency for Vinemont as did Miller, both in their senior season.
Quick's steady play was an asset for Fairview as she is now a senior. Kailyn Redding's attack ability provided support for she is a junior and Strane is a senior.
Allie Light is a sophomore with Cold Springs as a setter and libero. Bruer and Wilson stood out around the net as attackers and are juniors for the Lady Eagles.
