Good efforts on the road by West Point, Fairview, Good Hope:

GDW Analysis:
West Point and Fairview went into celebration Friday night for pulling off wins on the opening night as a road team.
History took place for West Point with the Warriors winning at Bubba Scott Stadium in Haleyville for the first time. The Warriors dominated the Lions 30 to 6.
The Warriors were at Haleyville for the first time since 2009. This performance allowed the Warriors to remove painful memories from a 27 to 24 loss at West Point in the opener a year ago.
Fairview got this game with Fultondale added to their schedule in the summer to give the Aggies 10 after they had 9 in the regular season a year ago.
The Aggies shut out the Wildcats 48 to 0 and have won six consecutive season openers under coach George Redding.
Redding now has 128 victories, 2nd most in Cullman County football history. Mark Smothers who coached at Vinemont, Hanceville and Holly Pond, leads the mark with 132 victories.
West Point:
The Warriors went up 7 to 0 on Haleyville after the first quarter and went to the locker room with a 17 to 6 lead.
No scoring came for Kevin McCrary's Warriors in the 3rd, but West Point got a pair of TDs in the final stanza to put the game out of reach.
Fairview:
Three touchdowns were on the Fultondale scoreboard for Fairview in the 1st quarter.
The Aggies added by scoring three times in the 2nd and enjoyed a 42 to 0 cushion at halftime.
George Redding's Aggies scored once in the final period and was able to earn a shutout.
This was the first meeting between the Aggies and Fultondale with the game taking place on a new field turf located on the Fultondale campus.
Good Hope:
Good Hope visited Pisgah in a jamboree game Friday.
The Raiders compiled a 24 to 12 victory vs. a strong 2A power in Northeast Alabama.
Elsewhere:
Falkville defeated Vinemont 22 to 6
Appalachian shut out Holly Pond 25 to 0
Addison defeated Winston County 41 to 20 at AG Hicks Stadium for the school's 600th victory all time.
